How do you feel about Taiwan?
Taiwan is an island in East Asia, with the Taiwan Strait to the west and the Pacific Ocean to the east. Mandarin Chinese is the main language, written in traditional characters, and Taiwanese Hokkien and Hakka are also spoken. Mountainous terrain covers the central and eastern parts of the island, including several peaks over 3,000 metres. The climate ranges from subtropical to tropical, with hot springs and natural scenery found in many areas. It is widely known for its lively night market food culture and as a hub of the semiconductor industry.
