How do you feel about China?
China is located in East Asia and covers a vast territory. Mandarin Chinese is widely used, and simplified Chinese characters are commonly used in writing. Plateaus and mountain ranges lie in the west, while plains and a long coastline extend across the east. Two great rivers, the Yellow River and the Yangtze, cross the country, and people have lived along their basins since ancient times. The climate varies greatly by region, and its tea, calligraphy and regionally distinct cuisines are widely known.
