Singapore is a city-state located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula in Southeast Asia. English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil are its official languages. It consists of a main island and surrounding smaller islands, with flat, compact territory. Its tropical climate near the equator is hot, humid and rainy throughout the year.
